As each server brought me an item from my order, they would cross it off the order list which was on my table. Other than my comment on the chicken feet (and this is only a preference thing since there wasn't anything wrong with it), everything else was better than what I've had in Montreal. The chicken feet was different from the style that I'm used to seeing/eating but it tasted fine (although I actually prefer the style that I get where I live in Montreal). I also asked for a pot of tea which was an additional $3. I asked the server who took my paper whether I had ordered too much for 1 person and she mentioned that it should be fine and wasn't too much. I had also wanted to try their siu mai dumplings but decided that what I had ordered might be enough so didn't order the siu mai. I picked the chicken feet, egg plant with shrimp dumpling, pork buns, and har gow dumplings. I took the piece of paper and indicated what I wanted. She led me to the table and I took a look at the place mat which was also their laminated menu. She mentioned that it would be the same food choices at the bar. I mentioned to her that I didn't catch what she said and then she asked me if I wanted to sit at the bar or at a table/booth inside. When arriving to Tim Ho Wan, the hostess said something to me but I wasn't paying attention so didn't catch what she said (or she might have spoken Mandarin to me). Even though it was not on the Strip, it didn't deter me from making the trip to the Palms Casino. This place is located in the Palms Hotel & Casino so it is not on the Strip. I was in Las Vegas around the time of Chinese New Year and wound up going to Tim Ho Wan on the Monday after Chinese New Year (which was Saturday Jan 25) since I was meeting up with someone on Saturday on the Strip and Sunday would be another buffet day for me. to give this place a try while in Las Vegas. The Tim Ho Wan located in Hong Kong has the reputation of being the most affordable Michelin-starred restaurant so I wanted. I had heard about Tim Ho Wan and during my Las Vegas 2020 trip, I decided to drop by here for some dim sum. so ,if you looking for a good quality Dim Sun restaurants ,this is a great place ! for quality and budgeting. is very modern and upscale, very comfortable, very spacious, this is not a Michelin Star restaurant, ( yet ! and well know in Hong Kong ! ) but good enough, the menu not over book size ,lot to choose from, price range is very moderate ,special the Dim Sun ,average under $ 7 per basket, ,creative traditional delicious ingredients flavours ,must try the Chicken's feet ! ,incredible taste, energetic staff, out hot cups never empty ,and soon as we finished one dishes ,staff will take it off the tablet right away ,great service, and because the restaurant is off the main strip ,you do not get so crowned ,and rush, here it is so peaceful ,very enjoyed the atmosphere.
